Stoma Clinic

Support for patients with colostomies, ileostomies or urostomies who live in the eastern area of the South Gippsland Shire.

What we do

The Stoma Clinic is delivered by a Registered Stomal Therapy Nurse, who is a specialised nurse. The clinic operates on a fortnightly basis and provides all aspects of stoma care including:

  • Education and review
  • Product information for ongoing stoma care
  • Assistance with funding sources.

Who can use our service?

Anyone with a stoma who resides in the eastern area of the South Gippsland Shire.

How you access

Self-referrals are welcome, or clients may be referred by their GP or other health professional.

  • Medicare card
  • Health Care Card and / or concession card (if you have one)
  • Previous X-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports
  • Glasses, hearing aid(s) and/or walking frame if needed
