Balance Group at South Gippsland Hospital
Improve your balance by attending a group class twice a week for 8 weeks.
What we do
The Balance Group is for people in the community aged over 65 years who have experienced falls or are at risk of falling.
The clinicians involved in the Balance Group are a Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist and Occupational Therapist. They will work with you to identify the factors that may cause your falls, help to reduce further falls and assist you to feel more confident when moving.
Before starting in the group, you will meet with the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, who will complete an assessment, observe you while walking and moving and ask you some questions about when you may have fallen over.
The Balance Group runs twice a week and goes for 8 weeks.
