Drug and Alcohol Counselling Services
Confidential support provided free of charge at home or in hospital.
What we do
The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) service provides confidential support, assessment, counselling and withdrawal from problematic alcohol and other drug use. The service is provided by specialist AOD counsellors and nurses from Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) who work with clients to plan their withdrawal and recovery. Clients can choose home or hospital based withdrawal services and will be supported by AOD staff.
Who can use our service?
The service is available to anyone with alcohol or other drug problems.
How you access
Anyone wishing to access this service can self-refer by contacting Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) on telephone 1300 022 760. A GP referral is not required.
The service can be provided at home or at the SGH Community Health Centre.
Are there any fees?
This service is provided free of charge.
