Donations
South Gippsland Hospital receives government funding for the basic running of the health service, however we provide a range of services that are either not funded or only partially funded. These activities are funded by generous community support. There are several ways in which you can support the South Gippsland Hospital through a donation or gift.
The 2026 Annual Appeal has commenced.
Our Annual Appeal has launched to help create a dedicated Family Comfort Room for families supporting a loved one at end of life.
This calm and private space will provide comfort, dignity, and valuable time together when it matters most — because care extends beyond the patient to those walking that journey alongside them.
Every donation will help create a compassionate environment for families during life’s most vulnerable moments.
Thank you for your support!
Murray to Moyne Bike Relay 2026
The 2026 Murray to Moyne Bike Relay, an annual fundraising event held each March or April, was once again a great success. This year, $25,000 was raised to support the purchase of medical equipment for the hospital.

Funds raised in the 2025 Annual Appeal assisted SGH to complete the Acute Ward Upgrade in rooms 6 through 10. The five rooms now have widened doorways, new lighting installed, new flooring laid and have been repainted.
