McGrath Breast Care

What we do

The McGrath Breast Care Nurses are specialised, registered nurses who act as patient advocates and provide important care for anyone experiencing breast cancer, including their families and carers. These South Gippsland Hospital nurses provide physical, psychological and emotional support from diagnosis and throughout treatment, including early and metastatic breast cancer.

How you access

Self-referrals are welcome, or clients may be referred by their GP or other health professional.

The service is provided in the South Gippsland Hospital Community Health Centre.

What to bring

  • Medicare card
  • Health Care Card and/or concession card (if you have one)
  • Previous X-ray films, scans, ultrasounds or any other test results or reports
  • Glasses, hearing aid(s) and/or walking frame if needed
