Falls Prevention Program

The Falls Prevention Program is run by the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist. It is a 10 week program involving weekly presentations regarding falls and balance issues and an exercise class tailored to address client’s balance needs.

The program aims to assist participants to take control of their everyday lives by identifying falls risks and implementing safety strategies. For example, getting in and out of chairs or walking up and down stairs.

Clients can be referred to the program by hospital staff, community support services or their doctor.
