South Gippsland Hospital Social Support Groups are a Department of Health funded service provided for people aged 65+. The groups offer an opportunity to socialise and enjoy activities (both in our facility and out in the community) with a meal provided. Transportation is supplied if required.
We have three Groups operating as follows:
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10.00am to 3.00pm – these groups offer an in-centre and out and about program of art, craft and guest speakers with an outing each month.
- Thursdays (Men only) 10.00am to 3.00pm – this group offers a range of activities such as fishing, woodwork and gardening.
Groups are run by qualified aged and disability care workers.
For further information or to book a place please phone the Community Health Centre between 9am and 4pm Monday to Thursday on 5683 9780.
