Podiatry

Our Podiatrist is able to manage, diagnose and treat many different conditions that affect the feet.

The podiatry service at South Gippsland Hospital is able to assist with general nail care, diabetes foot assessment, biomechanical injuries, wound management, nail surgery and orthotic therapy, as well as equipment or aids if required, including orthotics (additional charge for orthotics occurs).

Clients requiring podiatric treatment over the age of 65 who are registered with MyAgedCare (https://www.myagedcare.gov.au) will be eligible to receive subsidised services.

Clients under the age of 65 with a chronic health condition or disability affecting their feet may be eligible for a Team Care Arrangement to receive subsidised services (please speak to your GP).

Our podiatry service also offers affordable fee for service options if you are not eligible to receive subsidised services.

For further information, please phone the Community Health Centre between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday on 03 5683 9780.
