What we do
Social Workers help individuals and families to solve problems and provide you with support. They are trained to help in situations where you might be experiencing hardship, practical worries, family problems or having difficulty accessing services.
Social Workers provide a range of services including:
- Counselling and support for difficult or complex personal or family issues
- Issues that may be causing anxiety or distress
- Support with grief and loss
- Support with life or health changes
- Practical support—such as housing or pension application issues and financial difficulties
- Support to address social isolation and connection
- Aged care (short term case management and care coordination)
- Access to legal information such as Power of Attorney, making a Will and Advanced Care Planning
- Advocate on your behalf to make sure the best services possible are provided
- Information and referrals for government and community support services such as National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), My Aged Care (MAC), Elder Abuse, Family Violence.
How you access
Family or self-referrals are welcome, or clients may be referred by their GP or other health professional.
